Methodology
We all share a commitment to 3 basic principles:
1st of all, we believe that breakthrough creativity and innovation is a natural outcome of true COLLABORATION. We often find that great ideas are born through the clash of differing opinions when truth-seeking is the goal. When true collaboration is happening, you can feel it. Something gels and clicks within the group and everyone present is aware of an organic co-creation process that they are participating in… something magical happens.
Through lots of trial and error, study and creativity, we have developed our own unique collaborative process. It’s the way we work and how we interact with our clients. We believe that co-creation through collaboration yields the greatest results. It’s how we find the intersection of technology, creativity and strategy. And it’s how our clients become part of our process, which not only impacts our client relationships but also gets us to better and faster results.
Distinct from the “group think” that characterizes some initiatives, in collaboration people may change their opinions and ideas multiple times as they influence the discussion and the discussion influences them. The best work comes from an interactive and collaborative process where no one knows where the idea came from but it was created together.
Our 2nd principle is EXCELLENCE. Our relentless pursuit of excellence is what drives and propels us to new heights. We are never satisfied with good enough. We push ourselves to always exceed expectations, our client’s and our own. We are constantly trying new things and operating outside the box.
We have found that by holding a standard of excellence, the collaborative process inevitably leads our creatives, geeks and strategists to find common ground where all three competencies have found a solution that maintains that high standard from each of their unique perspectives. We will not compromise strategy for design and vice-versa. Compromise is not an option, there is always a superior solution that achieves both. The trick is, you have to know how to collaborate to figure it out.
Our 3rd principle is a FUTURIST ORIENTATION. We are inspired by the future and how it is bringing the world closer together. Business leaders have been hearing for years that the consumer-company relationship is making a radical change and power is shifting. We believe that to understand and embrace this change, we have to live it. We live on the bleeding edge of the future and technology so that we can truly intuitively understand how to use (and not use) the tools the future is rapidly bringing us.
We use the social media that we recommend. We all blog, Facebook, Flickr, wiki and tweet and we understand the opportunities and limitations well. We also get involved in Beta stage release of new technologies and tools so we can see where the digital world is heading.
These are not buzz words for us but intimately integrated into our lives. Far too many companies are blindly jumping on the bandwagon so that they are part of this emerging dialogue. We believe that the only way to advise our clients strategically in this space is to immerse ourselves in these technologies of the future and dialogue and collaborate with the people in the fields that are creating these tools.
